Description of Service
SafeHandoff is a personal safety app that allows you to:
Set timed check-ins before activities
Automatically alert emergency contacts if you don't check in
Share your location with designated contacts during emergencies
Important: SafeHandoff is a supplementary safety
tool. It is not a replacement for emergency services (911/112). In
life-threatening situations, always contact emergency services
directly.
User Responsibilities
Provide accurate contact information
Obtain consent from your emergency contacts before adding them
Keep your device charged and connected during active handoffs
Do not misuse the alert system for non-emergency purposes
Subscription & Payments
Free tier includes limited handoffs per month
Pro subscription unlocks unlimited handoffs and features
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal
Manage subscriptions via App Store or Google Play
Limitations of Liability
SafeHandoff is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable
for:
SMS delivery failures due to carrier issues
Inaccurate location data from your device
Service interruptions or app unavailability
Actions taken or not taken based on alerts
Use SafeHandoff as one part of your personal safety plan, not your
only safeguard.
Termination
You may stop using SafeHandoff at any time by uninstalling the app. We
reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use after changes
constitutes acceptance of new terms.
